Governing Council consists of interested parents along with a staff representative, an OHSC representative, Principal and Deputy Principal.
We meet twice a term on Monday evenings and manage the running of the school and discuss a wide variety of issues.
We also oversee subcommittees such as Fund Raising, Events and Working Bees. Our members take to the meetings any questions, queries or comments that we have been informed of by the school community.
The meetings cover important issues but we also have time for a chat and a laugh. We also run barbeques for Sports Day, Mini Fete and Christmas at Braeview and the money raised from these events help purchase additional resources for our school.
Being a member of council is a great way to meet other parents who have children in different year levels and is a very rewarding volunteering role.
